Suzanne Forrest is a BA Photography student whose work has been published in the Artospective Blogspot. Here is some of her work but there is much more to be seen at:
Martyna Maz, recently graduated HND Photography, triumphed in the Creative Disruption competition in the College, which was designed to help a promising artist launch their own creative start-up company. As a result Martyna has been able to move her fledgling freelance business to The Whisky Bond at Speirs Wharf. Now she hopes to develop her online presence and attract commissions.
Martyna’s innovative approach to photography, using traditional techniques such as wet plate collodion and portraiture skills, impressed a panel of high-profile judges including IMDb co-founder Colin Tinto, Andrew Tomkins from Young Enterprise Scotland and Helen Teeling from The Whisky Bond
Congratulations to Paul Little, HND1A, who won the latest ScienceSnaps prize for his outstanding photograph, ‘Infratanic Gardens’.
The photo shows an unusual and striking view of Glasgow Botanic Gardens, capturing the lush plant life using an infrared-passing filter.
Paul picked up his prize at Glasgow Science Centre where his winning image is on display on the big screen. You can also see the photo in the shop window of the Buchanan Street, Glasgow branch of Jessops.
Two BA3 Photography students have been shortlisted for the student AOP awards this year from over 1,200 entries in three categories.
